Blown Out

Well the first game yesterday in the USBL tournament was pretty good. It had some good close moments and was competitive. The second game was a blow out, guess which one we played in?

We trailed by close to thirty with less than two minutes left. It was a bad game all around. Got home around 11:30 and was tired. We play the number one team tonight, that is going to go really well....

It rained all yesterday and the city shut down my intersection due to flooding. Actually my intersection and the one South of me. It is pretty clear now though. We have had so much rain the past couple of weeks my swimming pool is nearly three quarters full after being dry.

The Barry Bonds march....er....hobble towards "history" continues. He hit 750 yesterday. Only five shy of tying and six shy of cheating his way past the most famous baseball record. Bonds just can't help himself. His ego is larger than his steroid grown head and even if his leg falls off this year and his knee explodes he'll do what he has to next season to own the record. Unless his is banned Pete Rose style from baseball forever.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Other than that everything is rolling along really well:) The bright side keeps getting brighter!

Brooklyn Fell To Dodge City

It was a pretty tight game though all the way. In the end Dodge, probably the best team in the league won. It was a very very rainy night too. I didn't stick around for the All Star Challenge. Just didn't feel like it.

It will be quite a while before everything dries out. I don't think the dog has gotten off of the patio in about two days. He doesn't really like getting wet unless it is really hot out. I have an industrial strength bug zapper that is keeping the insect population under control. It stays on full time.

There are two games tonight. The last one probably won't end until around elevenish or later.

USBL Tournament Starts Tonight

There is one game tipping off at 5:30 followed by an All Star Skills Competition!
Two games tomorrow night and two games Saturday night and the championship game Sunday!

A really good place to be if you like basketball!!!!

I was going to go by Wal-Mart yesterday and pick up my art supplies but it was like a hurricane after work so I'll just wait for a dry day. Don't want all of that new poster board to be damp. Wonder what they will think if you go in there and buy twenty cans of spray paint?

I did a little practice at work and it is actually simpler than it looks if you can believe that. I think it really comes down to if you have confidence using spray paint or not. I noticed that there really isn't any way to screw up a painting, mistakes can be covered really easily.

There are some skills that are a little bit more advanced than others but overall this will be a blast to "learn" I think. I use quotations around learn because of what I do for a living anyway. Learning this would be for someone who has never picked up a can of paint before. This is simply about manipulating paint on a surface to make it look original but impressive!

The real skill in this is the speed at which this works of art are accomplished. That is the appeal and why people gather around to watch these artists. They look very complex in a short amount of time. The colors just jump up at you and grab you. They free your imagination since you are placed in an alien setting and start to ponder what it would be like to see that in real life.

This is going to be a blast....well once I get the needed supplies and some weather that will cooperate so I can do this outside. As it is my yard is a very wet and soggy patch of land!!!!

Pan's Labryinth

First of all this is a spectacular movie. Second it is not a kid's movie even though the packaging would lead you to believe that.

It is rated R and has some intense and graphic moments in it.
Pan's is essentially a fairy tale for adults. The mood is gloomy (which really I have a hard time watching right now) the tone is somber, the colors are muted in the blue and gray palette unless by natural or fire light.

I enjoyed it quite a bit even though I really had to struggle to keep it going because as I said as of late I find it difficult to watch sad things or listen to sad songs. Usually I love such things.

Another reason is this, a few years back, like five or six, a couple of friends and I drove to Dallas. She had won tickets to a N'Sync concert I think and she and their son were going to watch it while he and I explored downtown Dallas and got something to eat.

Well there was this street artist there that was just amazing to watch. His medium was spray cans. Now I don't know why but I decided to search You Tube for spray can art last night.

I found lots of these guys!!!! I had no idea it was so big! They have conventions and everything!
Now since anyone who knows me knows what I do for a living and have around twenty years of experience at it I believe I am going to get some supplies and experiment! This looks like so much fun and after watching a few of them I can see the techniques, while they look complex, are actually very simple.

I've done more complex things even in my non-complex job.
I spent a restless nights sleep pondering and thinking about how to do different things and for a more complex work of art.

I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do:)

A Good Day!!!!

Work was fairly busy, made the day short.

We won last night, knocking off Dodge City in the final game of the regular season! I left with about five minutes left in the second quarter and met Catina from the documentary project for drinks! She had aced her examines and got out of the musical rehearsal and we were able to catch up!

I haven't seen her in probably six weeks so it was really nice! We talked for about forty five minutes, we will have a happy ending to the documentary as well!!!!

I made it back to the game with about a minute left to see us actually blowing out Dodge! The season ending tournament starts this Thursday with one game and an All Star competition. That'll be fun!

So overall it was a good day, an exciting day, and a day that is becoming more typical for me! Those days make me look forward to tomorrow to see how much better the next day is going to be!

Started Good, Finished Good

It was a great weekend!

With Friday's get together after work all the way up to a quiet yet mildly productive Sunday! I got groceries and supplies for the next couple of weeks, bills are all paid, plenty of money left over, purchased my post season USBL ticket for the tournament late this week, and tonight is the final Storm game, My Spaced chatted with several friends, and hung out with a few too.

Very good weekend, very good!

Good Meeting

It was good and informative. We are closer to planned rehearsals and our first shooting day.

I'm almost positive that the Storm won last night, we were up by around ten with about five minutes left. I went to the Shakespeare in the park to see a couple of friends and support them.

I caught maybe the last fifteen minutes of the show and sat with the amazingly talented Marshall who also got the lead of Annie.

All in all a productive day:)

Costume Department Meeting

Just a normal meeting to see how the costumes are coming along over lunch today.

Since I took off early yesterday I mowed the rest of the yard, hooked up the satellite radio I bought to replace the one I gave my dad for Father's Day, hung out with friends after they got off work, and made a surprise visit on a friend who is having a rough time.

All in all a good day:)

I just say a Pillsbury commercial for cookie dough, the kind in the tube. Man I love that stuff! I think I'm craving some now.

True Beauty

I have faith that there is genuine beauty in the world. Not only from an unlikely source but beauty that has reduced me to a mushy weepy mess.

Now anyone who knows me knows that I tend to cry at movies that really get me emotional. I can't help it, just the way I am. Sometimes books and stories, songs, but mostly visual things like movies and TV shows.

This man has absolutely refreshed if not redefined my perspective of beauty. A quiet, humble, very shy man who shakes up everyone's idea of what beauty really is. I know that deep down inside that I have nothing, not even a tiny fraction of this beauty in me. Perhaps that is why I weep in its presence and am easily touched by it.

If this doesn't touch you, I really feel pity for you since few things probably will.

This is a mountain sunrise.
A tropical sunset.
A beautiful Summer thunderstorm.
This is watching a blazing comet in the sky.
This is a newborn.
This is human and beauty incarnate.
It is love and compassion, kindness and generosity.

Well

I believe we lost last night. We were down by 11 with about a minute left. Dodge is good and we just can't seem to beat them.

It's Payday Friday and I really should be calling into work this morning, I've got a lot to do today and work just really shouldn't factor in to it but I'm dressed and ready to go anyway. I plan on taking off half a day, we'll see how it goes.

I make enough leave now I can take off a full day every two weeks and gain leave. How cool is that?

There is a get together after work to celebrate the week being over with. It is nice and cool outside right now, feels good, I have a cat wanting to get into my lap where the keyboard is, she looks jealous.

I've got some great friends, (Beersnob, Chianti, Weezy, and two dozen more) I've got a good house, steady work that allows me to pursue my passion, I've got it made!

Reminds me of a John Anderson song from several years back called "I've Got It Made".
It's about the simple pleasures of life:)

Supper At The Pub

I had supper last night at one of my favorite places last night. It's a day until payday and I've been meaning to get out and treat myself anyway.

There was this girl there who was playing the guitar and singing. The bartender, Naomi said she was from LA and just traveled around and played guitar and sang. She was very attractive and talented and worked only for tips and to sell her CDs.

I saw someone who was living their dream. I tried to play guitar when I was a teen and even took a college course in it but just didn't have the talent required. I told Chianti last night I had visions of being like Stevie Ray Vaughn but on a big island and playing the places for tips.

I wish now I would have at least gotten her name so I could have ordered her CD later on. I didn't have any cash on me after I tipped her.

Traveling around the country, going where you wish, doing something you love (and good at), how cool is that?!?!?!

What A Good Evening

It was quite a thunderstorm last night. Those are the best nights to sleep.

I don't think I woke up once, I also don't remember dreaming. I mowed my back yard before the storm hit so that was out of the way, I still have the front part to go but it was pretty low anyway so it is alright and will be easy.

We don't have a Storm game until tomorrow night.

Just not very much to write about this morning but it is going to be a good day:)

I've Heard That

The best gift you can give someone is to hold an image of them in your mind of them at the pinnacle of where they want to be. No matter how good or bad they are feeling right now if see beyond what is happening now then you can help them get there later.

So I'll hold these images of my Drinkbuster friends for them:)

Beersnob: I see a grand image of him working normal hours! He doesn't really like the oddball schedule he works now but I hold this visual image of him at scifi conventions with the fanfilm and reveling in all of the attention it produces and all of the opportunities to follow!

Chianti: I see her on a beach, very tropical and lush, perhaps her own island even! No worries or concerns to damage her amazing spirit and personality!

Weezy: Nothing less than on stage accepting an Emmy or an Oscar! More roles to act in than she could possibly believe!

They are all happy and content!

This does not exclude all of my other friends which I also have images of (you guys up North) and haphazard friends who aren't as close but I wish you well and super success as well!

Screech Goes Out An Idiot

He started the Celebrity Fit Club with a horrible attitude and it just got worse until last night when he lashed out against Cledus T. Judd and Da Brat in personal attacks.

He is an idiot and probably one of the most miserable people formerly on TV. He is lonely and seems to want to make people mad instead of making friends. Not just mad but mad for no reason at all other than to cause drama!

Why would you wanna be like that? He is going to die alone and unloved but I still bet that VH1 will find a way to make a reality show out of him and his antics since people just want to love to hate this guy. Dustin Diamond is still a miserable individual.

Ice Road Truckers....wow what a great show that is! This is a History Channel show about the road built on lakes between Yellow Knife and the diamond mines about three hundred miles north in Canada's Northwest Territories. It is a take off of Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel.

The lakes are usually frozen solid and sixty days is the window to get ten thousand loads of
supplies to the mines before it starts to heat up again. Talk about harrowing, when you are driving on the frozen lake road the ice cracks in front of you, there is the danger of winds which cause a white out and you can't see....at night!

The trucker is really the last cowboy and these guys are elite among truckers. They create a backstory for the truckers they ride with which consists of veterans and rookies who have never driven over the ice before while they keep track of how many loads have been hauled on a scoreboard.

Anyone who knows me knows my dad was a trucker when I was growing up until I was a teen. I grew up around trucks and truck stops. There will always be a special place for me for truckers. I have my taste for obscure country music (Red Sovine, Tom T Hall, Johnny Cash, Dave Dudley, well you get the picture) because of it and a love for the open road.

This is a great show that captures that freewheeling daredevil spirit, especially when the lake you are driving on is over two hundred and fifty feet deep.

My Favorite Has Been

Gary Coleman is on a new commercial!

I love this guy! He is a great example of someone who doesn't understand the opportunities that he actually has available. He had it all, arguably the highest paid child star of his day now a struggling individual who leaps at any job opportunity.

There should be no has been actor out there. They have worked with good to great directors, they know the process, have contacts, they know the ropes. Why in the world can't they pick up a camera, start writing, cast themselves if they must, but get to working on their OWN PROJECTS instead of waiting to be hired!!!!

There is no reason in the world they should be just hoping someone auditions them, take the initiative and get the ball rolling on their own. The Corey's, Gary Coleman, Emmanuel Lewis, and pretty much everyone who has been on the Surreal Life who was an actor. There is no reason to be just getting by.

No reason at all to be unemployed. No reason to be a has been. No reason to be a punchline anymore.

A Good Game

But we lost in overtime last night against our biggest rivals, Dodge City.
It was a close game all the way through when we were behind by two towards the end of regulation, we hit a field goal to tie. Dodge had a last second shot that missed and into OT we went.

They quickly put six points on us and we couldn't pull close. Tonight we play the Cagerz which is always a good game as well!

So most of the day, like most days this week, it was pouring rain. I believe that my door buzzer in my suburban had decided to freeze and keep on buzzing.....even after the door was shut and the engine started. So I have to hit the ATM before tipoff for snack and drink money and the buzzer hasn't stopped as I had hoped.

I park, turn off the engine....and the buzzer is still buzzing, even without the key in the ignition now! I get down by the fuse box and start looking for the right fuse to pull but it is really wet and I just decide to go to the game and think about the solution.

So about half time a co-worker who was on vacation all week comes and sits by me to catch up on everything that happened while he was gone. I tell him about my buzzer and he suggests the fuse pulling thing and I tell him I thought of that but couldn't find the right fuse. So he ponders it for a second and at half time we go out there.

He examines the plunge trigger at the door jamb and says if we pull that and unhook it then the buzzer will stop. I break out the tools and quickly dismantle the trigger, I snip the wires and then....peace and quiet!!!! The dreaded buzzer has stopped!!!!

Life is good!!!!

I Won!!!!

Two sets of tools. Each set consists of a pair of side cutters, water pump pliers, and two screwdrivers. How did I win such a magnificent prize?

Well Colin Cowherd was talking about the terrible ratings of the NBA on TV and what needs to happen to make the game more exciting and thus bring up the ratings. His idea was installing trap doors.

So I emailed The Herd and suggested banning shoes, only socks on a well waxed floor were allowed.

That was in the morning and then later that afternoon I got an email from the show and it said, "Congrats, you have won pliers. What is your address?"

Yesterday I got two sets from Channel Lock no less!!!!

How cool is that?!?!?!

Ok, now the rehearsal episode that Beersnob and I edited last night is now up on You Tube. You can check it out here!

Have a great day my friends!

Gratitude

Have you ever just gotten up out of bed and thought, "I'm so thankful I have a bed to get out of, a house over my head, food to eat, and electricity and water to light my way and drink."

It is a good practice since there are so many people and places that have much less than we do as a relative whole country and people. I am grateful for a lot, believe me I really am. Anyone who knows me from years ago knows that I deserve much less than I have based on my actions as a teen.

I have some incredible friends now who I am also fortunate enough that they also share a love of acting, while I'm not an actor it is a great fit since I love the behind the scenes parts. They want to act and I want to make them look great on film. It also helps that they are really good while I've got a modicum of skills at the moment I hope to show them at their best and be able to match the high level of their acting abilities.

I'm grateful for my house and while I'm not very good at home repair and there are some things I need to give some attention to, it is a great house!

I'm grateful for my job even though it is less than challenging there are some good people I work around and it pays plenty so I can pursue my passion of film!

I have been reflecting on something I'm grateful for every morning, it is great for putting things into perspective. It feels good too:)

We Won!

And we will play the same team again tonight. The third home game in a row with the same team in fact.

Then Friday night we play either Dodge City or Salina and then the team we didn't play on Saturday night. The post season tournament has been moved from the fairground arena to where we normally play which is great! Everyone likes that arena better anyway!

It rained a little last night but not much. I needed to mow but I didn't:)

The Spurs are one game away from sweeping the Cavs out of the championship. If the Cavs had at least one game in them to win it was the first home game and they lost. If you are a LeBron fan though don't worry, King James will bring probably six championships to the city. He just needs a Scotti Pippen and he doesn't have one yet.

Since finding Ten Yard Torrents, the old NFL game site where you can download games, I remembered I had two full championship runs of the Bulls in my closet on VHS. Their last two entire playoff runs in fact.

I put one in the VCR and played it and it looked pristine for VHS in fact! I'm going to have to get a VHS to DVD player and transfer them all to DVD and make torrents out of them, that might be a good Summer project! It would have been a great Winter project but I just didn't remember them soon enough.

Another Small Rehearsal Last Night

Between Adama and Orin. Beersnob is working late this week so he could not attend but I was there with camera to capture some excellent footage. They are so happy to start rehearsals and we plan on rehearsing every cast member while the costumes are being made.

Beersnob and I are going to edit that for You Tube soon, I don't want to let anything out spoiler wise and he knows what is and isn't safe to let out so this will be a great opportunity for him to use the software and speed up the learning curve while I get to be more familiar with what is safe to tell the audience at this early stage.

The cast will be very comfortable with their characters by the time we are ready to shoot. Preparation is key and we will be very prepared.

There is a Storm game tonight, tomorrow night, Friday and Saturday night this week!!!!
Wooohooooo!!!!

It is going to be a great week my friends!!!!

The Sopranos Finale!

This episode was definitely a mixture of elements from previous episodes.

Yeah the old Avante-gard vs. Traditional storytelling debate, well both appeared in this episode like they have in the whole series. Good episodes peppered among bad episodes.

I'm glad it is over though. I can see how this ending for most was like ordering the six foot tall monster from the back of a comic book that was just too amazing to believe and then after 6-8 weeks of going to the mailbox daily it finally arrives to absolutely destroy your day.

But Sopranos fans who loved the ending will say that it wasn't about the arrival of the package but it was all about the imagining how great it was going to be once you got the six foot tall ghost and could ride its back around the room, fight your fights with it, and basically do as you please!

All in all it is a show and David Chase's ending, good or bad, got people talking about it and I'm sure that was the goal.

Long live better TV shows!!!!

After Innonence

I watched this incredible documentary yesterday about people who are convicted for a crime they didn't commit and were then later released and proven innocent by DNA evidence. This doc was about what happens to these people afterwards.

Many states don't have anything to offer them BUT if they were paroled then they would qualify for lots of benefits. So essentially they get ten to twenty years taken out of their lives for a crime they didn't commit and then are turned loose with no way to help themselves.

A lot of states don't even expunge their records.

The amazing part of this is that they nearly instantly forgave the people who put them there and were just happy to get out and start the life they were robbed of. Want to talk about a powerful moment.

How would you react if you were robbed of the prime years of your life, caged, and no one believed you were innocent?

"I'm Not The Whore Of Charm School!!!!"

She said that right before flashing her nipples on Charm School....(shaking my head)

This is someone who just doesn't get it. Brooke just wasted on the last charm school challenge, threw herself at nearly every male on the show except the good guy, and got expelled.

Man I love this trashy show!

Meanwhile Screech couldn't handle riding a bmx bike, quit one half of a lap in his second heat after complaining nonstop, and caused his typical amount of drama.

I know I rail against Barry Bonds but at least even HE has made some accomplishments that turn heads and he is a miserable human being but will be remembered. Screech will be relegated to the ash heap of human debris.

The Spurs are dominating the Cavs. I feel a bit of a link to the Cavs since Ira Newble plays on that team. He used to play for the Storm and we hung out at JT Grizzley's after a game one night. He was very polite and cool to hang with for a couple of hours.

Sunday Morning

I didn't get out much yesterday. Got some groceries and a hair cut. We had a two person rehearsal for the fanfilm and scheduled one more Monday night.

We will film that one and Beersnob and I will edit it together. This will have a dual purpose in that I don't want to let spoilers out and as such I'm too careful when I edit and we'll get Beersnob up to speed on how to use his newly purchased Adobe editing suite.

It rained last night and there is a storm coming in now after looking at the radar.

It is going to be a pretty good week! Just feel pretty good about it:)

The Paris Saga

Well Paris Hilton, the poster child for stupidity and genuine clueless living, was in jail and out and then just yesterday BACK in jail again!

She was reportedly hysterical when she was ordered back into jail after the sheriff put her on home arrest less than three days after she was incarcerated. I believe the judge ordered she serve her full sentence.

I'm no fan of Paris Hilton at all and I feel America is collectively better off with Paris behind bars. I keep hoping that evolution will take over somehow and thin that part of the herd. So now lets see what we can do about getting Barry Bonds banned from baseball in Pete Rose fashion!!!!

Good will overcome, things are looking up!

Friday, June 08, 2007

Woooohooooo!!!!

It is payday Friday!!!!

I had some very cool dreams last night as well!!!! It is a shame that I have forgotten them already but I can tell you that I woke up feeling great and in a great mood!!!! Those are dreams that you love to have:)

We also won last night! Knocking off the Gary Steelheads, who are a top team in the league this year. We play them again Tuesday night!

Wow, I'm actually pretty giddy for some reason, it is hard to concentrate enough to write this! Must have been some great dreams!!!!

Weird huh?

The Storm Open Again Tonight!!!!

After a two week road trip they are back home again!!!!

They didn't fare too well, I believe they dropped nearly every game to the East Coast teams except for two games they won by forfeit. Anyway I'm all excited to get back to the arena and enjoy one of my favorite activities here in town.

Go Storm!!!!

Ok So There I Was

About ready to go to lunch today. I start my truck and then the key ignition locks up! I can't turn the key backwards to turn it off!!!!

So I go ahead and go to lunch and ponder my options as I run to the border.....it was close to O'Reilly's where I knew I was probably going to have to go to find the solution I had in mind. So I buy a new ignition and head back to work to try to work on solving my second problem.

How do I get a diesel engine to stop and then how do I get it started again?!?!?!

Diesels work on compression so the only way to stop them is to stop the fuel flow so I had to find the fuel pump solenoid and disconnect the wire but then how do I start it again with a locked up key that won't turn?

So I call the auto hobby shop where I work and they believe that by finding the ignition wire and jumping it from the battery it will fire up! So I take off work and head over there, get the engine stopped by disconnecting the right wire and then set about changing out the ignition.

It is a sizable process, not really labor intensive but there are a couple of tricky places that take some skill and patience. The lock ring for instance that holds everything underneath the steering wheel together. You have to use a tool to compress it down and try to get the lock ring off and even with snap ring pliers it is a tough job for such a tiny part.

So I finally get it off, find the set screw that holds in the ignition and remove it, remove the ignition itself, and put the new one in place. It took about an hour to get it apart and I kid you not, I had it back together in less than five minutes!!!! It goes back together much easier and no, I didn't have any spare parts.

So now it starts and more importantly it stops!!!!

Star Wars Logic

I'm reading a book right now about Lucas's actual logic used in Star Wars. The story going on between the frames and what it implies if you follow it to its logical conclusion.

Alright you have Darth Vader, bad guy responsible for the deaths of literally billions of people in the galaxy. A lot of them on Alderaan alone when Tarkin and he blew it up. Then Vader of course kills the Emperor while saving his son and dies a good guy and then there is a huge Ewokian celebration!

So lets find a comparable person here on Earth and probably the most popular bad guy for showing how evil the human race can be is Hitler. Responsible for the deaths of millions and then committed suicide in his bunker. So let's alter history just a little bit and throw in this bit to see how George Lucas's logic would play out today.

Say the Allies capture Hitler and put him on trial at Nuremberg. The prosecution reads the rather long list of war crimes when the defense jumps up and says, "But he saved his own son and killed Himmler!"

Do you think that Hitler would be getting an Ewok parade down the streets of Berlin???? Redemption is a fine and upstanding motivation for a story but isn't that a stretch?

Another of the tragic logic flaws is the moral quandary that if you could go back in time to find Hitler as a young and innocent boy would you kill him? I think you would after rationalizing that you would eventually be saving millions of lives but you probably wouldn't like it much.

Now to Lucas Logic 101, we are pretty much hammered over the head with how brave, cute, and special Anakin Skywalker is only to later learn he becomes the scourge of the galaxy. So if Qui Gon Jin (one of my favorite characters in the whole saga) could detect that The Force was not in balance somehow, which also really didn't make sense, then couldn't Qui Gon maybe have used his midichlorians to pinpoint that Anakin might someday turn into the most evil person alive????

And how powerful are these midichorians anyway? You are asked to believe that you can lift an X-Wing fighter out of a swamp but you can't even detect that your OWN DAUGHTER WHO YOU ARE INTERROGATING WITH TRUTH SERUM doesn't have The Force and YET you know she is on a "diplomatic mission" with the stolen plans for The Death Star.

I'm just asking for a little bit of continuity and logic. Anyway yeah this is one of my top ten films of all time STILL after being asked to jump over logic gaps the size of the Millennium Falcon.

A Good Day!!!!

First of all my dad came by and helped me fix my electrical problem. Turns out there was a burned up wire between the meter and the breaker box. I know nothing about electricity but I can paint anything that moves and film it at the same time, edit it all down, add title cards, and hopefully help you to laugh!

So now the power is on where it should be which is nice! I gave him a Sirius radio for Father's Day. He travels a lot and has stone age FM to listen to.

Next up I'm going to meet Sass for a final drink before she moves to Mexico in a couple of days. Since she has been a wonderful drinking partner lately I'm going to miss her company.

Everything is going very well:) Remember the documentary project? Well it looks like we are going to have our happy ending that I've been waiting on to complete the project!!!!

I'll keep you informed:)

Desktop Tower Defense!!!!

If you want to kill some time on a great fun game try this one!

It is pretty addictive and a blast to play. It will take a minute or two to understand what is going on but you will quickly get the hang of it!

Once you understand what is going on (it took me a bit longer since I didn't read the instructions) you can start with the strategies! Then it becomes even funner! My high score is over five thousand with twenty lives! Beat that!

I read an article on the creator of this game and he is bringing home around six figures just off of advertising on this game. What a great idea!!!! Make a creative, fun game and sell advertising on your site, retire!

How cool is that?!?!?!

Rollin' In Around 3 A,M,

Yep, went to a b-day party last night that really started around midnight. Beersnob and Chianti were there and guess what?!?!?!

Weezy is coming back for a visit early next month!!!! Chianti thought it would be a good idea to do a Drinkbusters when she is here!!!! Woohoooooo!!!!!!!!!

I really can't tell you how excited I was to hear that news!!!! Thrilled really doesn't sum it up for me!!!! So anyway there I was, drinking a vanilla coke last night, my friends all around me and I was thinking, "This is pretty cool! I'm happy I have all these cool friends, cool projects to work on, I can see some great times ahead!"

Projects were talked about and kicked around. It was a good time!

Let's see, I saw a show that reset the coolness factor for a show. Afro Samurai! That show was just beautiful to watch. The animation was top notch and the voice talent, WOW! Samuel L. Jackson and Ron Perlman! The fight scenes were great, the characterizations were amazing, the soundtrack was alright, there was a considerable amount of violence but it was done in the Kill Bill style and kind of cartoony and not gory.

The show is just cool though. It is a cool experience, watch it when or if you can!

So far it has been a great weekend!!!!

Weird House Problem

So I get home yesterday only to find that part of the power was off in the house. The power had been off the night before because of the storm so I figured no big deal. Probably had a power surge and it flipped a couple of the breakers.

So I go to the breaker box only to find that they were all ok. HHHHhmmmmmmmm, now I had a problem. Well not that big of a problem because the fridge was ok, not that would have been a problem!

Nope, so I get on the phone and call the power company. They had been out all day and part of the night fixing such problems. They pull the meter and turns out one of the wires was pretty burned up. Now tomorrow I am going to replace the bad wire and restore power to the entire house.

No big deal, just a few screws and voila! Done!

Firday!!!!

Woohooooo!!!!

It rained again last night, this is an insane amount of rain we are getting!!!! I can't remember a time when we got this much, it had to be about fifteen years ago to my best recollection!

Anyway, hope you all are going to have a great day!!!!

I'd post a real post right now but I'm running a bit late this morning. I seem to have a breaker going bad in my fuse box. The power is intermittent on some of the outlets in the house and stable at others, freaky....
