One of the wonderful benefits to my job is the ability to call in for vacation. Yep you don't even have to be sick or anything. You earn your leave so you are able to take it as you please and are very very rarely turned down.
It's really pretty nice. You call control, tell them you want off today, they take down your name. That's pretty much it! Darn simple and effective!
Now if you called in sick leave then you should actually be sick. Vacation is different and you are free to do whatever you want that day.
Today is supposed to be very nice out, The Date was offered a permanent job at the library yesterday, we are going to celebrate that with a nice lunch, and today's payday! What better reason do you need than to have a day off?
It's really a big deal for her to be offered a permanent job there. First off she loves this job! That's huge to anyone in the work force today, second they love her work and are going to train her to do more now that she is staying around! These jobs come open very rarely as most people stick around there for a long time. It's really a big deal and I'm very proud of my baby:)
