I DVR'd the men's team the previous night and watched the end of USA versus Switzerland last night. The announcers mentioned the game previous to both of those against Germany I believe, in all three games our captain had a chance to win on the last rock slidey thing.
All three of those he missed and we lost leaving us 0-3 in the round robin tournament. The stiffer competition is coming up according to the announcers as well which paints a grim picture for US gold in curling.
Fortunately we are better at other sports as we lead the medal count with fourteen total medals. Germany is second with ten total medals but we have five golds and they have three!
Curling just must not be a sport we do any good at in the Olympics. That's ok, we rule snowboarding and other various sports. Maybe our women's team is doing better, I'll have to find them now on TV since our men apparently can't get it done.
