As my Facebook friends can already tell I finished the PSA for NODA. I've posted the link to the one minute and nineteen second long spot. Mozart did an amazing job with his score. It is so stunningly beautiful it'll take you by surprise. Colonel's Daughter did the voice over and she did a fine job of it:)
Here is the rest of the story. The only options for advertising this concert are on the local radio, public access cable stations, and the internet.
Honestly very few watch local access cable, first you have to have cable (even I don't have cable) then you have to choose that channel among the seventy five other channels. If the spot runs there non-stop twenty four hours a day it might be seen as someone is flipping by. It just won't get enough viewers but if it gets a few then it'll help.
The radio is great for area wide coverage but the internet will reach the world.
That's why it is important to repost the link on Facebook and ask your friends to repost it or email it out to your contact list. If you are out of state then you can purchase a ticket and donate it or just not show up. The money will still feed a senior citizen for a week and that's the important part.
John Michael Montgomery is donating this show for the cause, he selected it to support. This is a real "rubber meets the road" scenario, the money will go directly to keeping these centers open and feeding senior citizens.
