What Do You Want?

You know it seems like a real easy question doesn't it and most people can answer it without even thinking about it. The problem is that what they want, myself included, is that what I think I want is usually something that leads to something else and something after that, whatever it is at the core of what you really want.

I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want and I started by thinking about what I don't want. Well that is easy to figure out. Everyone can tell you exactly what they don't want, down to the final letter.

The thing is that you have a core desire, everyone does. What they do is that they try to figure out how to get what they really want and it turns into a long chain to get there. A to Z, first I have to do A to get to B etc. Over time you just forget what it is that you really want.

Every thing you want has an emotional attachment to it. You want A so you can feel B which you might be missing. It nearly always leads to happiness. There are some weird freaks out there who are only happy when they are unhappy. Even then their end result is happiness. Freaky huh?

They will do things to sabotage themselves so they can bring about the circumstances that will make them unhappy that will conversely make them happy.

Most people think a large amount of money will make them happy when in reality it is only a way to bring about what you desire. Freedom, security, things that are intangible but things that we desire. Money is a means to an end....a feeling we crave, not much more.

Be happy now. Cut right to the chase. You'll feel better.
