I flipped the meat this morning, the brine has formed. All it has to do now is keep getting flipped over in the two gallon ziploc bags every morning until Sunday! Then I'll take it out and smoke the newly made bacon!
I can't wait!
Team USA had a very good game yesterday against Team Canada in hockey. We played for gold and had previously beaten Canada earlier. It looked like we were going down two to one when with under a minute left we scored and tied the game! It was then overtime hockey. First team that scores wins.
It was fitting that Sidney Crosby, the NHL wunderkind, scored the final goal against us. We won silver which is pretty good in this very tough tournament.
Over the next few weeks you'll hear the term, "reconciliation" bandied about in the political landscape. Pay attention to when it is being used. You'll see liberals talk about how the GOP has used reconciliation more times than anyone else to pass legislation. Just pay attention, I'll get more into this in another post.
Do a little homework and research the term and how the procedure was used then and how it is being talked about being used now.
